Installing Stone Veneer

In this project, we were tasked to install the stone veneer on the wall between the windows. As well as relocated the electrical system. In order to avoid exposure to the wiring below the television.

The client has chosen the type of stone. The type stone veneer is "White HD Old Country Ledge" with white mortar finish.

From the beginning of stonework. We began to install the metal wire mesh on the wall. With the staple air gun with one-inch long staples. Then use the mortar as scratch coating horizontally with a trowel "comb" tool. Afterward, let it cure at least 24 hours before installing the stone.

Phase 1

Applying the white stone veneer on the wall. As place in a one-by-one stone with bonding the white mortar behind. With firm pressure, press the stone into place with a slight wiggle along with a small lever on top of it. Ensure it leveled correct before it cured.

Lastly, as we complete installing the one-by-one stones. We start to apply the finished filling joints. The tool we use is the grout bag (A.k.a cake-bag"). After applying the white grout between the stones. We began to rake back to reveal the edge of the stone, then swept smooth with the brush.
